Policies & Procedures
  • Mission
The mission of the library staff is to enrich and support the educational programs in the school.  The library staff strives to stimulate intellectual curiosity, an interest in reading, and a habit of lifelong reading and learning.
  • Student Guidelines
Books are checked out for one week at a time.

We will use the following guidelines for check-out:

    Pre-K/K : (1) book

    1st grade : (1) book

2nd grade: Up to (2) books at a time

3rd grade:  Up to (3) books at a time

    4th, 5th & 6th grade:  Up to (4) books at a time.

**Students may re-check books for one extra week, if needed.  Additional rechecks are up to the discretion of the librarian or assistant.

  • Overdue Materials
Students with materials that are more than ONE WEEK overdue may not check out more materials until they return or renew overdue materials.  We will gladly hold desired items for 2 days to encourage students to return their overdue items.

Students with books that are overdue for more than TWO WEEKS will receive a telephone call and a note as a friendly reminder for the parents to help the student return the overdue materials.  Students with items that are overdue for more than THREE WEEKS will receive a letter of reminder in the mail to their parents.  Books over ONE MONTH overdue are considered lost.

** If by chance you discover any library books at home, please return the books to the library soon.

  • Lost or Damaged Materials
Students who lose or damage books beyond repair will be charged the replacement cost of the book.  A note with the replacement fee will be mailed home to the parents.  If lost materials are found later during the school year, please return them to the library.  **We will gladly provide a full refund provided the items are not damaged.

**At the discretion of the librarian or assistant.
